On August 24, 2012, Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry & Foreign Trade announced starting its antidumping (AD) review on passenger-car tires from China, with the dumping probe period from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 and the injury probe period from April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2012.

As China mainland is not regarded as a market economy, Brazil chooses Chinese Taiwan as a substitute.

Any interested parties can, within 20 days from August 24 herein, apply for legal response to China MOFCOM's Industry Injury Investigation Bureau or contact China Rubber Industry Association by tel. 010-84924069 and fax 010-84924398.

On July 8, 2008, the Brazilian ministry launched the antidumping probe under HS Code 40111000.

On September 9, 2009, Brazil's foreign-trade commission made a final ruling that levies a five-year antidumping duty at 28.1% and USD 0.75/kg on the China-made tires of models 165, 175 and 185, 13 inches and 14 inches, 65 and 70 series.
