Mexico to Probe into Chinese Ceramics Dumping

 
Reported by Mexican financier newspaper of August 31, Mexico's economic ministry has decided to probe whether China-made ceramic products assumed low-priced dumping to the Mexican market.

The dumping investigation is petitioned by Mexican Cinsa company that says that ceramic imports from China have surged and thus posed injury to Mexican ceramic manufacturers.

According to Mexican statistics, the ceramic imports from China increased by 59% in 2010, 7% in 2011 and 10% in the first-quarter 2012 respectively; such increase resulted in reduction of output and jobs from local manufacturers, e.g. jobs less 8% and 3% in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
