Thailand AD Duties on Coated Plates/Sheets from China, South Korea & Taiwan

Reportedly, Thailand government will levy provisional antidumping (AD) duties on zinc alloy coated plates and color-coated sheets from China, South Korea and Chinese Taiwan.

Therein, the interim antidumping duties on zinc alloy coated plates are 26.22% on China, 22.55% on South Korea, and 39.12% on Taiwan; those on color-coated sheets are 42.88% on China, 10.25% on South Korea, and 44.77% on Taiwan.

The following products can be exempted from the interim duties:
The wider-than-1,325mm coated plates to re-export; JISG3321, SGLCDD grades or coating quality exceeding AZ200, and inorganic zinc-alloy coating plates; color-coated sheets of DX54D, DX56D, DX57D, JISG3322, CGLCDD grades, coating quality exceeding Z350 or AZ200, more than 3 layers in one side or more than 6 layers in double sides.

Thai commerce ministry says the final antidumping review is ongoing, with results to release in January 2013; during the transition, importers of those plates are required to pay bank-backed deposits equivalent to the antidumping duty amount.
