On October 16, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that its industrial injury ruling made on August 20, 2008 for welded carbon-steel pipes from China will expire on August 19, 2013 and, if none of domestic firms petition for its sunset review before the expiry, the Canadian authority will end its antidumping and anti-subsidy measures on those China-made products.

Any interested Canadian firms should submit their sunset-review petitions by October 31, 2012.

On January 23, 2008, Canada Border Services Agency launched the antidumping and anti-subsidy on China-welded carbon-steel pipes under HS Codes 73063010.14, 73063090.14, 73063090.29, 73063010.24, 73063090.19, 73063090.34, 73063010.34, 73063090.24 and 73063090.39.

On July 21, 2008, the Border Services Agency finally ruled the Chinese dumping margins at 97%-179% and subsidy rates at 25%~113%.
