Taiwan Tea Enjoy Mainland Zero Duty

Reported by Taiwanese CNA news, since the ECFA agreement signed by Taiwan and mainland China, Taiwanese tea have been granted zero duty by the mainland, bringing more earnings to Taiwan's tea industry.

According to Taiwanese Straits Exchange Foundation, in 2011, the tea exports to the mainland were subject to 5% duty rate and totaled 2,797.33 tons worth USD 31.0826 million, up 395.92% year-on-year; this year, the tea exports enjoy zero duty of the mainland and a growing volume has appeared: during January-September, the quantity has reached about 2,314.13 tons, worth USD 26.0347 million, up 16.32% year-on-year.
