U.S. New-Exporter Review on China Fresh Garlic

On October 25, U.S. Department of Commerce announced its preliminary antidumping ruling for the new-exporter review on fresh garlic from China.

The new-exporter review should be canceled regarding two Chinese firms of Foshan Fuyi Food Co., Ltd. that presented untrue data of sale for the investigatory period and Qingdao May Carrier Import & Export Co., Ltd. that does not meet the requirements for the review.

On February 9, 1994, the U.S. Commerce Department started the antidumping probe on Chinese garlic under HS Codes 07032000.10, 07032000.20, 07032000.90, 07108070.60, 07108097.50, 07119060.00 and 20059097.00;

On September 26, 1994, the Commerce Department finally ruled the Chinese dumping margin at 376.67%;

On January 4, 2012, the Department started the 20th review for new exporters involved.
