On November 27, the U.S. International Trade Commission determined in a sunset review that revoking the existing antidumping (AD) duty order on folding gift boxes from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.

Based on the Commission's affirmative ruling, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue to levy its antidumping (AD) duties on China folding gift boxes.

The U.S. Commerce Department initiated those antidumping duties from January 8, 2002 at the rates of 1.67%, 8.90% and 164.75% on different Chinese exporters, and conducted its first sunset review in February 2007.

According to the Department data, till November 6, 2012, the U.S. has levied 234 antidumping duties and 48 anti-subsidy duties on 120 kinds of goods from 36 countries/regions.
