China Fulfills ECFA Early Harvest Duty Reliefs

  
On January 1, 2013, China mainland-Taiwan ECFA initiated its third-stage duty reliefs under early harvest trade in goods. So far, duty exemption has covered all 806 items of goods set in the early harvest program.

According to statistics, as per mainland tariffs schedule of 2009, the mainland carries out duty relief for 539 items of goods from Taiwan, 72 items and 437 items respectively free from duties in 2011 and 2012 and remaining 30 items free from January 1, 2013; Taiwan gives the relief to 267 items of mainland goods, 67 items and 186 items free in 2011 and 2012 respectively and remaining 14 items free from January 1, 2013.
