On May 29, U.S. Commerce Department announced its preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on frozen warm-water shrimps from abroad, with the anti-subsidy duty rate of 5.76% imposed on Zhanjiang Guolian Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. and other Chinese enterprises, 5.72%-6.10% on Indian enterprises, 10.8%-62.74% on Malaysian enterprises, 2.09% on Thai enterprises, and 5.08%-7.05% on Vietnamese enterprises.

Additionally, the Commerce Department may require the submission of cash deposit for the anti-subsidy duties before its issue of formal duty orders.

Relevant final rulings are expected to come out in August-September, and if they are in the affirmative, the U.S. anti-subsidy duties will take effect.
