Australia Defers AD Ruling on China Aluminum Profile Exporters

On October 31, Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission announced that it has completed the antidumping (AD) review on new Chinese exporters of aluminum profiles originating in China, and submitted on September 23 its final ruling report to Australian Minister of Industry.

According to Australia's Customs Law of 1901, the Industry Minister should make a determination within 30 days after receiving the final report, or may defer his determination under special circumstances.

Now, considering the complexity of the new-exporter review, which was handed over to the Ministry of Industry, and recent appointment of Hon Ian Macfarlane MP as new Minister, the Ministry has decided to defer its determination on this review.

On July 2, the Australian authority started to review new Chinese exporters involved, at the request of Guangdong Jinxiecheng Al. Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
