U.S. Admin Ruling on China Activated Carbon

On November 26, U.S. Commerce Department made its final administrative ruling for reviewed antidumping on China activated carbon (HS Code 38021000):

The antidumping duty rate should be USD 0.03/kg on Jacobi Group, USD 0.39/kg on Ningxia Huahui Activated Carbon Co., Ltd., and USD 2.42/kg on General Chinese enterprises.

The following enterprises are under the rate of USD 0.16/kg:
1. Calgon Carbon (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.
2. Datong Juqiang Activated Carbon Co., Ltd.;
3. Datong Municipal Yunguang Activated Carbon Co., Ltd.;
4 Jilin Bright Future Chemicals Company, Ltd.;
5. Ningxia Guanghua Cherishmet Activated Carbon Co., Ltd.;
6. Ningxia Mineral & Chemical Limited;
7. Shanxi DMD Corporation;
8. Shanxi Sincere Industrial Co., Ltd.;
9. Shanxi Industry Technology Trading Co., Ltd;
10. Sinoacarbon International Trading Co., Ltd.;
11. Tancarb Activated Carbon Co., Ltd.;
12. Tangshan Solid Carbon Co., Ltd.;
13. Tianjin Maijin Industries Co., Ltd.

The administrative review was started on May 29, 2012 at the request of Calgon Carbon Corporation and Norit Americas Inc for the period of April 1, 2011-March 31, 2012.
