Certification and Accreditation Administration of China rectified the inspection

Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China rectified the inspection procedures of imported products for special purposes exempt from the compulsory certification. As to the products in the compulsory certification catalogue of imported products which were not certified and not in line with the certifying requirement of exempting from the compulsory certification prescribed in Order No. 3 of 2005 by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of china, the local entry-exit inspection and quarantine institutions shall advise return journeys; the products must not be imported without undergoing the inspection procedures.
To guarantee the trade demand, and with reference to international practices, small batches of imported products for production and living purposes that did not obtain the compulsory certification due to special purposes or reasons can be dealt with in accordance with the inspection procedures of imported products for special purposes.
The announcement shall take effect on Dec 11, 2008.
