In June Belarus' Import Duty on Raw Sugar to be Linked to Price of $287.02 pt

In June 2009, Belarus' import customs duty on raw sugar will be linked to the price of $287.02 per tonne of raw sugar, BelTA learnt from the Economy Ministry.

The average monthly price is calculated as the average price on the New York Mercantile Exchange in the previous three months – February, March and April, which was $287.02 per tonne.

The Economy Ministry will submit this information to the State Customs Committee by May 15. The Customs Committee will use this information to levy import customs duties on raw sugar starting from June 1, 2009.
