CRC Announces Low Termination Tariffs for Mobile Operators (Bulgaria)

As per the recommendation by European Commission for the regulation of termination prices, Bulgaria's Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) had approved a new plan for phased reduction of tariffs. The new tariff plan has affected the termination fee charged by one operator to another. The price change for consumers has not been announced yet.

CRC reportedly said, the new plan, which is expected to be approved within a week, includes immediate reduction of prices charged for calls from fixed line to mobile and mobile to mobile by around 10 per cent, or 2 stotinki a minute. The date for price reduction had originally been planned for July 1 2009. Additionally, price reductions would be introduced in January and in July 2010, with another 2 stotinki each.
