In accordance with the new tariff regulation, imported autos with the price below 3000 euro can enjoy tariff exemption, but those with price below 6000 euro shall be levied the tariff from 20 euro to 90 euro. Due to the different price, the tariff cut scope is from 50 euro to 600 euro. For the 10% new luxury autos with the price above 25000 euro, the import duty on them rises from 500 euro to 1000 euro. The new tariff regulation will be delivered to parliament for discussion, and it predicted to take effect on early March.

In the first six months, autos qualified No.1 and No.2 standard of EU are allowed to import. Members of major auto importers showed that new auto price will not cut sharply. According to new tariff regulation, the second-hand auto will benefit most because people tend to purchase used auto. Except for luxury auto, the import cost for new auto has little margin compared with the former cost. It is estimated that the sales price of new auto will cut averagely 100 euro. In the recent one month, many auto purchasers hold an attitude to wait and see, bringing the result of zero sales record for some auto dealers
