On March 23, 2010, the India Customs decided to impose formally an anti-dumping duty on plastic processing or injection moulding machines (clamping force no less than 40 tons) originated from China, with the levy period being five years (until May 11, 2014).

An ad valorem anti-dumping duty from 60 percent to 174 percent shall be levied on 10 Chinese enterprises that have responded to the action, while the duty rate of 174 percent shall be levied on other Chinese enterprises.

In July 2008 India initiated anti-dumping investigation on this case, and in December 2009 made the affirmative final ruling.
