South Africa to Continue the Anti-dumping Duty on Chinese Clear Drawn and Float

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) announced on March 26, 2010, that South Africa had made a final ruling for the sunset anti-dumping review on clear drawn and float glass (for which South Africa's HS codes are respectively 7004.90 and 7005.29) originated or imported from China. According to the ruling, it is determined to continue the levy of anti-dumping duty on the aforementioned Chinese products from 3.59 Rand to 8.02 Rand per square meter with the standpoint that cancellation of the anti-dumping duty would cause persistence and recurrence of the dumping of such Chinese products in South Africa, thereby resulting in material injury again to South Africa's related industries.
