According to news from udn.com, the U.S. Department of Commerce made a final ruling on April 9, 2010, that the U.S. should levy anti-dumping duty on steel pipes/tubes from China used for oil well and gas well. Anti-dumping duty rates of 29.94 percent and 99.14 percent are to be levied respectively on 38 Chinese enterprises including Tianjin Pipe International Economic & Trading Corporation and on other Chinese exporters including Jiangsu Changbao Steel Tube Co., Ltd. Following the final ruling, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) is to make the final judgement in May 2010. If USITC's final judgement is affirmative with the same conclusion as that of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. will start to levy the anti-dumping duty mentioned above as of June 2010.
