Pakistan to Reduce Import Tariff on Solar Energy Equipments by 75%

According to a report on July 4, 2010 from the Pakistani Business Recorder, Federal Minister for Environment of Pakistan, Mr. Afridi, said recently that the Pakistani Government will reduce the import tariff on solar energy equipments by 75% to 6.25% so as to promote the generalization and utilization of such equipments and accelerate the process in solving the current power shortage in Pakistan.
