Jordan Adjusted Import Tariff on Costumes

Recently, Jordan Customs adjusted the import tariff on costume products.
The previous tariff was 20% of the import value, while the new tariff will calculate both specific duties with USD 1.4 per kg and advalorem duties with the rate of 5%, and apply to the higher duties.

Principal with Jordan Customs said that the purpose of the tariff adjustment is to encourage import of high-quality costume products. Meanwhile, second-hand costumes and textile products will not apply to the new tariff.
