Kazakhstan Restored Export Duties on Petroleum Products

Kazakhstan passed a Government Order, deciding to restore the export duty of USD 20 per ton on crude oil, the export duty on light petroleum products shall be USD 99.71 per ton, and that on heavy oil USD 66.47 per ton.

The Government Order was formally announced on July 16, 2010, taking effect 1 month later.

From May 17, 2008, Kazakhstan started imposing export duties on petroleum and its products. And the export duty on crude oil was cancelled on January 26, 2009.
