As per the report, Pakistan originally set for this fiscal year (July 2010-June 2011) the goal of yielding 54.80 million tons of sugarcanes with estimated 3.80 million tons of sugar; however, as a result of the flood, a big drop will occur in the output of both sugarcane and sugar, with sugar shortage in Pakistan estimated to be 1.20 million tons.
