The EU Slaps Import Tariffs on Plastic Raw Materials from Iran, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates

According to a report from Pakistani newspaper the Business Recorder, the European Union (EU) recently decided to impose import tariffs on the plastic raw materials (polyethylene terephthalate) from Iran, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates on the grounds of providing export subsidies, the duty rates shall be respectively EUR 139.7 per ton, EUR 44.02 per ton, and EUR 42.34 per ton, keeping valid till 2015.
