Iran to Impose Export Tariff on Iron Ore

Iran decides to levy export tariff on iron ore. The export tariff on iron flavor powder is 50% and the export tariff on pellet is 35%.

On November 23, 2010, an announcement from the Iran Mining Industry Development and Reform Organization (IMIDRO) said that the decision of imposing export tariff on iron ore was reached in the summit conference organized by the department of exports and trade, economy, industry, mining and agriculture in Iran. Iranian President has approved to levy export tariff on iron ore, which will take effect in 2 months.
