Brazil Temporarily Reduced Import Tariff on Some Mechanical and Information Communication Products

On February 5, 2010, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) issued an Announcement on the reduction of import tariff on 147 kinds of mechanical and information communication products to 2% and the implementation of zero tariffs on 2 kinds of information communication products, keeping valid till December 31, 2010.

It is reported that the tariff relief mainly includes: railway (51.12%), metallurgy (7.14%), civil construction (7.05%), petroleum (5.44%), and capital goods (5.40%).
