Russia Reduce Sugar Import Tariff to USD 50/Ton

Recently, Russian government claimed that from Mar. 1 to April 30, 2011, Russia will reduce import tariff on sugar by 2/3, from USD 140/ton down to USD 50/ton.

Harvest of sugar cane fell last year and thus sugar output decreased in Russia. To curb inflation, Russian government will cut tariff to increase sugar imports.
