Bangladesh to Lower 4,500 Tariffs for South Asia

In order to promote the trade with other South Asian countries/regions, Bangladesh government recently announced its intention to lower tariffs for them on 4,500 commodities.

All countries/regions under the South Asian Free Trade Agreement in 2004 can enjoy the preferential tariffs, including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Afghanistan.

It is said that Bangladesh will announce an order in coming days to implement new tariffs, specific start time back to this January for certain new tariffs.
