Vietnam Increases Import Tariffs on Cigarettes, Ink-Jet Printer and Sanitary Equipments

According to Vietnam Economy on June 22, recently Vietnam Ministry of Finance increased the import tariffs on cigarettes, ink-jet printers and sanitary equipments. Therein, the tariff on cigarette imports has been increased from current 30% to 50%, the tariff on ink-jet printer imports has been increased from zero to 5%, and the tariff on enameled or non-enameled steel bathroom equipments has been increased from 32% to 36%.

Above new tariff rates will take into effect from August 4, 2011.
