According to Interfax recently, the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan has passed a Resolution on cancelling import tariff on crude oil. This resolution takes effect from the date of its release on the Customs Union's official website.

It is said that this resolution was passed at the proposal of the Republic of Belarus.

Belarus said its domestic petrol production can't meet its refinery demand and it has to import crude oil from any third country by multiple methods; and canceling the import tariff can reduce tax burden on its domestic refineries.
