Syria Lowers Import Tariffs on Foods and Other Commodities

As Ramadan is approaching, the government of Syria recently decided to lower import tariffs on consumables such as foods and handworks. Currently, the import tariff on frozen meat, milk powder has been lowered from 10% to 5%; that on edible oil has been lowered from 20% to 7%; that on sugar has been lowered from 7% to 3%.
