Pakistan Removes Auto-Parts Import Surtax

According to Pakistani commercial newspaper, Pakistan decides to grant exemption of 15%-35% surtax to imports of automobile parts by its auto makers/assemblers.

As per its new tariff schedule, the auto makers/assemblers are required to report their production plans to Pakistani engineering administration and use their imported parts for car making within 3 years; otherwise the import surtax should be imposed as usual.
