Kazakhstan Raises Export Duties on Oil Products

According to Interfax Kazakhstan on January 30, the government of Kazakhstan passed a resolution on raising export duties on refined oil products.

Relevant resolution was signed by Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, on December 30, 2011 and was released on official media. The resolution takes effect ten days after the date of formal release. The export duties on transparent oil products are increased to USD 164.97 per ton, those on black oil products increased to USD 109.98 per ton, and those on crude oil remain USD 40 per ton.

However, before then, the export duties on the transparent were USD 143.54 per ton, those on the black USD 95.69 per ton, and those on the crude USD 40 per ton.
