It's reported that the government of Russian Federation has approved new Russian export-duties decree, which is applicable to legal relations generated from January 1, 2012.

By the government decree, the export duties on unwrought oak, beech and fraxinus-chinensis woods are EUR 100/cbm, replacing previous 40% of customs-evaluated value; but birch wood of no less than EUR 50/cbm, regardless of its diameter, will be subject to 25% export duty rate of no less than EUR 15/cbm.

The new export duties will be effective till final Russian admission to the WTO.
