Uruguay to Counter Imports from Argentina

According to Argentina's Ambito Financiero of Feb. 27, since Argentina has taken restrictive measures on imports from Uruguay, Uruguay recently strongly criticized the Argentine actions once again;

Jose Mujica, President of Uruguay, stated that Argentine restrictions have seriously affected the bilateral trade development, and Uruguay therefore may take equal restrictions on its imports from Argentina.

But the president also said that Uruguay still expects improving bilateral trade relation by dialog and even mutual self-controls on their respective exports.
