South Korea Lowers Import Duties on Cabbage, Radish, Banana & Pineapple

According to South Korean economic news of August 3, South Korea's financial ministry has decided to give zero duty to import cabbages, radishes, bananas and pineapples as well as frozen pork for a period up to September 30 without quantity limit.

Throughout 2011, South Korea imported totally 13,565 tons of cabbages, 6,117 tons of radishes, 337,907 tons of bananas and 60,565 tons of pineapples.

What's more, the country will lower to zero the import duties on barley, malt and cassava slice for a quota of 30,350 tons, 207,000 tons and 100,000 tons respectively until December 31.
