Thailand to Prolong Soybean Import Duty Preferences

Reported by Thai newspaper, Thailand commercial ministry will prolong by 6 months the import duty preferences for soybean products, aiming to curb uptrend of feed prices in the country.

Owing to fear of soybean yield slump in the drought-stricken America, feed prices are on the rise in Thailand, e.g. corn price risen from THB 9.5-10/kg to THB 11-12/kg, posing a bigger burden to Thai animal breeders.
