Algeria Quits Poultry Feeds Import Duties & VAT

Reportedly, Algerian agricultural minister recently revealed that the Algerian government has decided to cancel the import duties and value-added tax (VAT) on feeds and feed products for poultry rearing industry, relevant measures as below:

From September 1, 2012 to August 1, 2013, cancel the import duties and VAT on corn, soybean, other feeds and feed products;

Provide zero-interest loan to poultry rearing operators;

Research use of olive's extracts as feeds, replacing corn and soybean, so as to reduce rearing cost.
