Norway to Reform Hard Cheese Import Tax

 
According to recent Norwegian news, the Norwegian government says, in its drafted budget for 2013, that it will reform its import taxation on hard and semi-hard cheeses, changing the taxation from specific 27.15 krones/kg to ad valorem duty at the rate of 277%, and excluding 14 cheeses from abroad that pose no direct competition with homemade cheeses.
