Vietnam to Raise Mineral Export Duties

According to recent Vietnamese newspaper, Vietnam Ministry of Finance has issued a draft on its increase of mineral export duties.

Therein, the export duty rate will be raised from 15% to 30% on manganese ore and concentrate, including ferrous manganese ore and concentrate; titanium ore and concentrate; cut or uncut talcum ore.

The rate will be raised from 20% to 30% on nickel ore/concentrate; cobalt ore/concentrate; aluminum ore/concentrate; lead ore/concentrate; zinc ore/concentrate.

The rate from 17% to 30% on natural sand (except metal sand); from 10-15% to 15-25% on phosphate ore; from 15% to 25% on white marble and granite; from 0% to 5% on alumina.

Expectedly, relevant formal notice will come out within this year.
