Kazakhstan to Set Zero Duty for Cellphone Import in 2013

According to Kazakhstani news, Kazakhstan authority will lower its cellphone import duty from current 5% to zero from January 1, 2013.

According to Kazakhstani customs officers, the import duty rate on desktop/laptop computers will reduce from current 10% to 9% till 2015, that of DVD players will reduce from 15% to 8% till 2016, that of LCD monitors will reduce from 20% to zero till 2015, that of communication equipment will reduce from 5-10% to zero in 2013-2015, but that of home appliances and electronic products will remain unchanged.
