EurAsEC 2013 Meat Import Quotas for Member States

According to Kazakhstani news, the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) commission has decided to set meat import quotas for 2013 for the Customs Union member states as follows:

For Belarus: large domestic animals - 0 zero; pork - 47,200 tons; poultry - 10,900 tons;

For Kazakhstan: large domestic animals - 15,400 tons; pork - 9,700 tons; poultry - 10,000 tons;

For Russia: large domestic animals – 570,000 tons; pork – 430,000 tons; poultry – 364,000 tons;

The decision will come into force from December 20, 2012; And the member states can assign their respective import quotas to their importers with a flexible quota of 13,000 tons for pork.
