Myanmar Cuts Light Truck Import Duty to 5%

 
Reportedly, Myanmar Government classified the two-door light trucks into commercial vehicles and cut down their import duty rate from 80% to 5%.

Presently, Myanmar vehicle import duties cover two types: 5% on commercial-use taxicabs, buses and light trucks, 80% on household cars, and 80% on four-door heavy trucks.

In addition, Myanmar Ministry of Commerce will allow the enterprises with import-export license to import over-one-ton and manufactured-after-2003 commercial vehicles, which are previously permitted for jewelry and construction companies.
