Ukraine Safeguard Duties on Import Cars

 
On March 14, Ukraine authority made a final safeguard ruling on import cars under HS Codes 8703.22.10.00 and 8703.23.19.10:

The safeguard duty at 6.46% on the passenger cars with 1,000 cubic cm < cylinder capacity < 1,500 cubic cm;

The safeguard duty at 12.95% on the passenger cars with 1,500 cubic cm < cylinder capacity < 2,200 cubic cm;

The safeguard duties are valid for three years after 30 days of being announced.

The Ukrainian imports, mainly from China, EU, Japan, Russia, and Turkey, were put into probe in July 2011.
