Customs Union to Cancel Residence Principle from 2020

According to Interfax Astana news, from the year 2020, the present Customs Union and the future Eurasian Economic Union will cancel the principle of residence within their regions. The Eurasian Economic Commission calls for its member states to jointly make a relevant plan before July 1, 2015. The plan requires that as from January 1, 2020, when a declarant makes customs declaration for goods, any member state's customs authority should make corresponding registration regardless of any member state's law and of the declarant's permanent residence.
