Year-on-year growth of whole bicycle import is 8.14% from Jan to Aug in China

It is shown in the statistical information from General Administration of Customs, “Main commodity of light industry import value in customs in Jan-Aug of 2008”, that from Jan to Aug, 2008, China’s whole bicycle import amounts to 9,300, with an year on year growth of 8.14%; the import value of assembled bicycle is USD 4.315 million, with a year-on-year growth of 172.24%. In August, China imported 1,200 whole bicycles, with import value of USD 298,000.

In Jan-Aug, 2008, the import volume of bicycle is 21,500 ton, with a year-on-year growth of 3.83%; bicycle part import amount is USD 174 million, with a year-on-year growth of 20.28%. In August, China imported bicycle part of 2,700 ton, with the value of part import of USD 22,000,000.
