Fuzhou Imported Cars More YOY in QTR 1, 2017

According to Fuzhou Customs statistics, in the first quarter of 2017, Fuzhou totally imported 3,253 cars, up 2.2 times year-on-year (YOY); worth CNY 850 million, up 1.9 times YOY; at average import price 262,000 yuan per car, down 10.8% YOY; mainly from Japan, Russia and the USA: 2,274 cars were from Japan, up 3 times YOY, accounting for 69.9% of the total import; 396 cars from Russia, instead of none last year, accounting for 12.2%; 248 cars from USA, up 69.9% YOY, accounting for 7.6%. The imported car types included 3,134 four-wheel-drive light off-road vehicles, up 2.2 times YOY, accounting for 96.3%; 49 small passenger cars (with nine seats and less), up 15.3 times YOY, accounting for 1.5%; 47 sedans, up 1.5 times YOY, accounting for 1.4%.
