Hohhot Customs Dist. Export & Import Up Largely for Jan-Apr

According to Hohhot Customs statistics, for January-April this year, Hohhot Customs District had export and import totaling 16.46 billion China yuan, up 49.1% year-on-year (YOY). Therein, export value was 2.63 billion yuan, up 50.5% YOY; import value 13.83 billion yuan, up 48.9% YOY. In the first 4 months, the export of electromechanical products reached 1.07 billion yuan, up 76.9% YOY; export of textile garments reached 310 million yuan, up 71.8% YOY; export of agricultural products 140 million yuan, down 15.1% YOY; the three accounted for 57.8% of the total export. Meanwhile, import of coal reached 4.97 billion yuan, up 3.3 times YOY; import of copper ore reached 3.67 billion yuan, down 14.1% YOY; import of iron ore 1.54 billion yuan, up 1.9 times YOY; the three accounted for 73.6% of the total import.
