Fujian Province-Foreign Trade Kept Up in First Half Year

According to China Customs statistics, in the first half of this year, Fujian Province achieved export-import value of 572.81 billion yuan, up 16.4% year-on-year (YOY). Therein, export value 346.3 billion yuan, up 4.9%, and import value 226.51 billion yuan, up 39.8%, 14.1 percentage points higher than national average.
In June alone, Fujian export-import value was 103.02 billion yuan, up 22.9% YOY, down 0.3% from May; therein, export value 67.41 billion yuan, up 17.7%, 0.4 percentage point higher than national average growth, and up 3.8% from May; import value 35.61 billion yuan, up 34.3% YOY, and down 7.3% from May.
The United States continued to be the first partner, with a significant increase in trade with Australia. In the first half year, Fujian trade with USA reached 95.64 billion yuan, up 20.6% YOY; trade with ASEAN reached 89.77 billion yuan, up 17.7% YOY; trade with the EU 79.17 billion yuan, up 9.1% YOY; trade with Japan 33.76 billion yuan, up 14.9% YOY; trade with Australia 26.84 billion yuan, up 68.9% YOY.
