Xiamen Imported Dairy Products, QTY Down & Price Up, in January-October 2017

According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to October this year, Xiamen Customs imported 34,000 tons of dairy products, down 7.5% year-on-year (YOY); worth RMB 390 million, up 0.9%; average import price at 12,000 yuan per ton, up 9.2%. Major imports were from USA and New Zealand, dramatic increase from the EU. In the first ten months, Xiamen Customs imported from USA 15,000 tons of dairy products, down 14%, accounting for 43.9% of the total import volume; imported from New Zealand 8990 tons, down 29.4%, accounting for 26.2%. In the same period, Xiamen Customs imported from the EU 4150 tons of dairy products, up 48.5%, accounting for 12.1%.
