Xiamen Imported Crude Oil, QTY Down & Price Up, in 2017

According to Xiamen Customs statistics, in 2017, Xiamen Customs District imported crude oil 20.46 million tons, down 0.4% year-on-year (YOY); worth 54.95 billion yuan, up 37.1% YOY; average import price at 2,686 yuan per ton, up 37.6% YOY.

Import Characteristics:

In 2017, Xiamen imported 14.842 million tons of crude oil by ordinary trade mode, an increase of 4.4% YOY, accounting for 72.5% of the total; imported 5,618,000 tons by processing trade, down 11.1% YOY, accounting for 27.5%.

Saudi Arabia and Iraq were the main import sources. In 2017, Xiamen imported 11,238,000 tons from Saudi Arabia, down 9.3%, and 5,987,000 tons from Iraq, up 12.1%; the both accounted for 84.2% of the total.
